Open Roles at TalentXi

Two openings, both working directly with the founder and a small, distributed team.

AdTech / MarTech Account Manager

Independent Contractor — Remote / US

Position Overview

TalentXi is engaging an independent AdTech / MarTech Account Manager to own day-to-day management of client programmatic advertising campaigns — from setup and optimization through reporting and renewal. This is a client-facing, hands-on role for someone fluent in demand-side platforms (DSPs), campaign analytics, and the adtech/martech or recruitment marketing landscape. You'll work directly with the founder and a small, distributed team supporting a growing roster of employer, staffing agency, and job board clients.

What You'll Own

Campaign Management

  • Launch, monitor, and optimize client campaigns across DSPs and job distribution channels
  • Manage bid strategy, pacing, and budget allocation to hit CPC, CPA, and hire-quality targets
  • Troubleshoot underperforming campaigns — traffic quality, targeting, creative, or bid issues — and implement fixes
  • Coordinate creative and feed updates with internal team members and vendors

Client Relationship & Growth

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of client accounts
  • Run recurring status calls and campaign reviews with clients
  • Manage renewals and identify upsell opportunities to grow account revenue
  • Handle day-to-day client communication and escalations professionally and proactively

Reporting & Analytics

  • Build and deliver recurring performance reports (pacing, spend, applicant/hire funnel, ROI) in client-ready format
  • Translate raw campaign data into a clear performance narrative for non-technical stakeholders
  • Track account health and flag risk early

Operations & Tools

  • Maintain accurate account and pipeline records in HubSpot CRM
  • Support A/B test tracking and case study data collection where applicable
  • Keep campaign trackers and documentation current for each account

A Typical Week

Your week might include a Monday pipeline review across your account portfolio, mid-week optimization passes on live campaigns, a client call to walk through a performance report, and coordination with the team on a new client's creative or feed setup. No two weeks look identical — the throughline is ownership: you know the state of every account you manage at any given moment.

What You Bring

Required

  • 2+ years managing paid media or programmatic advertising campaigns
  • Working knowledge of DSPs, real-time bidding, and campaign performance analytics
  • Demonstrated ability to own client relationships independently — running status calls, delivering tough performance updates, managing renewal conversations
  • Strong Excel/reporting skills — comfortable building a client-ready report from raw data
  • Self-directed and reliable working as an independent contractor, without daily oversight
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication

Nice to have

  • Recruitment marketing, HR tech, or job board industry experience
  • Familiarity with HubSpot CRM and outbound sequencing tools like lemlist
  • Experience with XML feed-based job data or ATS-adjacent workflows
  • Agency background managing multiple concurrent client accounts

Who Thrives Here

This role suits someone who wants ownership without a large-org layer of process — a builder who's comfortable being the single point of accountability for a client relationship, working directly with a founder, and moving fast without waiting on approval chains.

Contract Terms

  • This is a 1099 independent contractor engagement, not an employee position — no health benefits, paid time off, or tax withholding is provided; you are responsible for your own taxes and business expenses
  • You provide your own equipment and set your own hours to meet agreed deliverables and client-facing commitments
  • Engagement scope, monthly retainer or per-account fee, and account load are defined in a signed independent contractor agreement prior to start
  • Either party may terminate the engagement per the notice terms in the contractor agreement

Lead Handoff & Sales Enablement

  • Compile a comprehensive lead database with discovery notes within 24 hours of each event
  • Hand off leads with clear priorities and insights on each prospect
  • Provide event debrief: engagement numbers, lead quality, messaging effectiveness, competitive intel
  • Track lead conversion and provide feedback to sales on follow-up effectiveness

Strategic Event Planning & Scouting

  • Recommend high-value speaking and networking opportunities aligned with strategy
  • Scout local events (Miami/Ft Lauderdale) and global conferences quarterly
  • Manage timelines, registrations, logistics, travel, and pre-event briefings

Required Qualifications

  • Flexibility and comfort with frequent travel (local and international)
  • Professional demeanor representing the company brand at all levels

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous Chief of Staff, EA, or executive business partner experience
  • Background in recruiting, staffing, tech, or B2B SaaS
  • Experience with HubSpot, Salesforce, and sales enablement tools
  • Existing network of C-level executives or industry decision-makers
  • Experience launching or scaling business development initiatives
